Socialite Vision Gives Back to Palm Beach County

giving back

At Socialite Vision in Palm Beach Gardens, caring for our community extends beyond the eye exam. Dr. Adam Ramsey and the Socialite Vision team are committed to supporting students, expanding access to vision care, making environmentally conscious choices, and giving back throughout Palm Beach Gardens and Palm Beach County.

From mentoring students interested in healthcare careers to providing vision services for eligible local students, we believe better vision can help create brighter possibilities for the communities we serve.

Supporting the Next Generation

Dr. Adam Ramsey, a Palm Beach Gardens optometrist and founder of Socialite Vision, regularly mentors students interested in pursuing careers in healthcare and science. Students have the opportunity to learn from Dr. Ramsey and gain exposure to optometry, patient care, and the many career possibilities available within the eye care profession.

Dr. Ramsey also participates in career day events at schools throughout Palm Beach County, helping introduce students to optometry and encouraging the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Socialite Vision Beyond 20/20 Program

Dr. Ramsey created the Socialite Vision Beyond 20/20 Program to help eligible middle and high school students access vision services that can support their ability to learn and succeed in school.

Clear, comfortable vision plays an important role in the classroom, from seeing instructional materials to reading, studying, using digital devices, and participating confidently in school activities.

Through Beyond 20/20, Socialite Vision works to help remove vision-related barriers for students in our community.

Socialite Vision Cares About Sustainability

Our commitment to our community also includes making thoughtful choices about the products we carry.

At our Palm Beach Gardens optical boutique, patients can explore eyewear collections from brands that incorporate sustainability and social responsibility into their products and programs.

One example is ECO® eyewear, which incorporates more environmentally conscious materials into its frame collections. ECO's bio-based frames incorporate castor seed material, while its recycled collection gives existing materials a new purpose.

This allows patients looking for sustainable eyewear and eyeglasses in Palm Beach Gardens to consider options that combine style, craftsmanship, and more environmentally conscious materials.

MODO Eyewear With a Mission

Socialite Vision also carries MODO eyewear, known for combining lightweight design, innovative materials, comfort, and craftsmanship.

MODO has also supported children's vision initiatives through its Buy a Frame – Help a Child See program in collaboration with the Seva Foundation, helping provide access to vision screenings, prescription glasses, and corrective treatments for children.

Eyewear & Contact Lens Recycling in Palm Beach Gardens

Small changes can make a meaningful difference. Socialite Vision participates in programs designed to help reduce waste associated with eyewear and eye care.

Contact Lens Recycling

Socialite Vision participates in a contact lens recycling program with TerraCycle. Collected contact lenses and blister packs can be processed and separated by material type so the materials can be recycled into raw formats for use in new products.

For patients who wear contact lenses, recycling provides another option for keeping these small materials out of traditional waste streams.

Supporting Efforts to Reduce Plastic Waste

We also support Costa's Kick Plastic initiative, which works to reduce single-use plastic and prevent plastic waste from reaching waterways.
