Born and raised locally in Palm Beach County, Dr. Butts has deep roots in the community he now serves.

He attended Santaluces Community High School, where he was a four-year scholar student-athlete, before continuing his education at the University of Central Florida. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology with a minor in Health Sciences.

Growing up as an athlete helped shape Dr. Butts' interest in health and wellness. After the unexpected loss of his father at age 56, that interest took on a deeper meaning and inspired a personal mission to help others live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

A Career Focused on Vision & Eye Health

Dr. Butts ultimately found his calling in optometry, where his interests in science, healthcare, prevention, and patient relationships could come together.

He earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry and returned to South Florida to help provide essential eye care to the community where he grew up.

Today, Dr. Butts helps patients better understand both their vision and eye health through comprehensive eye examinations and personalized recommendations. Routine eye care can do more than determine whether your prescription has changed. A comprehensive eye exam also allows your optometrist to evaluate the health of your eyes and identify findings that may require additional monitoring or care.
